What customers say
Customers generally appreciate the Thorne Amino Complex for its high-quality ingredients and noticeable benefits, particularly in muscle recovery, endurance, and overall workout performance. The lemon flavor is a common point of discussion; while some enjoy it and find it refreshing, others find it too strong or prefer the berry flavor. Many users incorporate it into their daily routines, mixing it with shakes or fruit bowls. The product is praised for its natural energy boost and lack of added sugars. However, a few customers experienced digestive issues or found the taste overpowering. Despite being considered expensive by some, the product's clinical validation and certifications are highlighted as positive aspects. iHerb's service and shipping efficiency also received commendation.

Quality supplement!
Verified purchase
Thorne always comes through with quality ingredients. The taste is decent. I would give it about an eight out of 10. Of course I strive to get 10 out of 10, but I know that everything good for us can’t taste that good ! I believe I have been getting the benefits in the past week and a half since starting it. I am in the gym lots and I think that this is a great way to get the amino’s in that we need with hydration! Great for protein synthesis while training. I’ve been using it sort of as a “pre work out” drink, because I no longer take pre-workout - so the flavor is similar/ makes you feel like you are having a pre work out. If that makes sense ha ha.

Amino complex
Verified purchase
My wife has been using amino complex for a while now, mostly around her training sessions. She usually drinks it before or during workout, sometimes even in the morning if she feels low on energy. What she really likes is how it supports her muscle recovery. After training she says she feels less soreness, and overall more stable energy during the day. Not like a strong boost, but clean and steady, which is actually better. The taste is also a big plus — light lemon flavor, not too sweet, easy to drink. She’s quite picky with supplements, but this one she actually enjoys, so she doesn’t skip it. From health point of view, it fits well into her diet, especially when she wants to keep things balanced and support her body without anything extra. The quality feels high, like all Thorne products, and the powder mixes well with no weird aftertaste. The size of the container is good too, lasts long enough even with regular use.

Superior BCAA Formula – Noticeably Effective
Verified purchase
After researching BCAA supplements for a long time, I found that Thorne’s Amino Complex has the best combination of ingredients and ingredient efficacy compared to all other brands. I really appreciate the quality and transparency of what’s inside. Size and price are pretty standard in the market. The lemon flavour is fine-nothing amazing, but since I drink it quickly, it doesn’t matter much. One thing to note: it will make your cup smell pretty strong, so I recommend washing it out right away. Overall, very satisfied with the results and would definitely repurchase!

this is my go to amino acids supplement. lemon taste is ok but ofc has that artificial. very easily mixable. gives me quite a boost so it complements my training. i think this is one of the best quality in the market of amino complex. although in a humid country powder texture turns into clumps after a while

Love it

I bought these instead of the Kion aminos after doing some research. I like the flavour and it is easy to dissolve in water. Definitely helps with muscle repair and immune support. Great product and will buy again.

Thorne Amino Complex – Crisp Lemon Flavour and Excellent Recovery Support
Verified purchase
The lemon flavour is crisp, pleasant, and refreshing, especially when mixed with cold water in hot or humid conditions. I find it particularly suitable for demanding training sessions and field sports. With a comprehensive EAA profile and a 2:1:1 BCAA ratio, it is a convenient way to support recovery and muscle maintenance without adding significant calories or unnecessary macros. I find it useful before intense sessions and match days when performance and recovery are priorities, especially during long, demanding efforts such as fast bowling in cricket. The clean flavour profile is another plus, with no unpleasant synthetic aftertaste. It is also gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free, which makes it easy to fit into a variety of athlete diets. The NSF Certified for Sport certification is reassuring for competitive athletes who want third-party testing for banned substances and quality control. The packaging is good overall. One minor issue is that the fine powder can form small granules if moisture gets into the container, so keep the scoop completely dry. The 8.1 oz (231 g) container provides around 30 servings, which is roughly a month for regular training. I would prefer more servings per tub, but overall, this is a solid amino supplement with a refreshing lemon flavour and good usability for hard training.
